Before 2008, I thought of myself as an average agent, maybe a little above average. I never imagined being where I am today.
Then the market crashed. In a good year I'd done about 30 transactions. It wasn't a gradual build.
I went from 30 to 80 to 150.
That taught me I can do a lot of work. It also taught me you can't do that kind of volume without systems and controls, and without finding people to do what you can't. Honestly, I struggled with how much work there was, and I learned from that too.
I'm an ordinary agent, an ordinary manager, an ordinary teacher and an ordinary owner. But stack those up for 30 years and they add up to something.
